Baritone Kyle Dunn is widely regarded as an exemplary singer who has a voice filled with nuance, expression, and power. He is known by colleagues and mentors as a respectful, hard working and devoted artist who has a strong, notable presence on the stage. 

This season Mr. Dunn returns to Opera Saratoga to sing Rusty Charlie in Frank Loesser’s Guys and Dolls, cover Guglielmo in Mozart's Così fan tutte, and debut a world premiere Opera written by composer in residence Inti Figgis-Vizueta. In August 2024, Mr. Dunn will make his role and company debut with The Berkshire Opera Festival as Wagner in Gounod’s Faust with Artistic Director Brian Garman at the podium. 

During the 2023/24 season Mr. Dunn performed with the Sarasota Opera, covering the role of Le Dancaïre in Bizet’s Carmen, and singing in the chorus for Carmen, Lucia di Lamermoor, and Luisa Miller

In 2022/23, Mr. Dunn made his company debut with Opera Saratoga as the Notary in Donizetti's Don Pasquale while covering the role of Dr. Malatesta, and singing in the ensemble of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. He also made his role debut as Il Conte d’Almaviva in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with Prague Summer Nights, under the baton of Timothy Long.

Other training programs include Opera Steamboat, where he sang the Hunter and covered the Gamekeeper in Dvořák’s Rusalka with esteemed director Mo Zhou. 

Mr. Dunn is a graduate of The Peabody Institute in Baltimore, MD, where he studied with world renowned Baritone Randall Scarlata. At Peabody, he sang as M. Presto in Poulenc's Les Mamelles des Tirésias, Germano in Rossini's La scala di seta, Rambaldo in Puccini's La Rondine, and Mr. Wickham in Kirke Mechem’s Pride and Prejudice.

At Temple University Mr. Dunn studied with Lawrence Indik, and sang Antinoo in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria, covered Son Ami in Milhaud's Le pauvre matelot, and covered Sam in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti.

Mr. Dunn currently resides in the NYC area.
